Meet Your Guides

Govindi Juneja

Ten years ago, Govindi walked away from a successful career in sales and marketing to pursue something deeper- “purpose”.

Her search led her into yoga, somatic healing, energy work, psychology/NLP, and breathwork where she discovered the profound power of the breath to unlock healing, clarity, and transformation.

Today, Govindi blends mind, body (nervous system work) and soul to help people reconnect with their most powerful internal guide: their intuition. She has facilitated workshops, retreats, and seminars with diverse communities including veterans, survivors of human trafficking, former inmates, entrepreneurs, and individuals rebuilding after trauma.

Her work helps people reset their nervous systems, shift their mindset, and reclaim the strength, peace and wisdom already within them.

Isai Barahona

United States Marine Corps veteran, somatic healer, and founder of the San Diego–based veteran wellness initiative Boots to Flip-Flops.

Over 9 years of active-duty service, including combat deployments as a Sergeant machine gunner, he experienced firsthand the challenges of transitioning out of the military, which ultimately inspired his path into healing work.

For the past 11 years, Isai has practiced massage therapy and is currently training in Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy, with a focus on nervous system regulation, trauma release, and the healing power of touch, movement, and breath.

He is a certified Mental Health First Aid practitioner, a dedicated Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner, and holds a B.A. in Integral Studies and an A.A. in Holistic Healing, blending formal study with lived experience.

Through Boots to Flip-Flops, Isai creates peer-led spaces, breathwork and somatic sessions, and community offerings where veterans can feel safe, take off their “boots,” and begin the journey back to themselves.

Elvis Tadlanek (host)

Elvis Tadlanek is an entrepreneur, podcast host, calisthenics athlete and trainer, musician, and author based in San Diego, California.

After transforming his life from depression, weight gain, and burnout to holistic health and creative expression, he founded Tara Vitality, a wellness and self-empowerment platform, and created the Life of Elvis Podcast, where he explores self-development, consciousness, and the mysteries of reality with guests from around the world.

A dedicated calisthenics practitioner who once completed 2,000 pull-ups in 6.5 hours for World Mental Health Day, Elvis blends physical mastery, spirituality, and art (through his metal music and his sci-fi novel “Ascension: A Psychedelic Sci-Fi Novel”) to help others build resilience, self-awareness, and authentic freedom in life.

Full Day Experience
(10:00 AM – 8:00 PM)

10:00–10:45 AM – Welcome & Introductions

Elvis Tadlanek opens the container, shares the vision, introduces facilitators Govindi and Isai. Veterans introduce themselves, set intentions, establish group agreements. This builds trust from minute one.

11:00 AM–1:30 PM – Govindi’s Breathwork Journey

Expect a physical and emotional breakthrough. Start with rigorous warm-up: heavy breathing synced with dynamic movement to awaken the body. Transition to lying-down rhythmic breathwork that accesses altered states.

What happens: Tension releases as waves of stored trauma move through. Emotions surface and discharge. Epiphanies arrive. Body feels lighter, nervous system resets. Many report feeling “held” by the group energy. Bring layers—your temperature will shift.

3:00–5:00 PM – Isai’s Somatic Meditation

Marine vet Isai Barahona guides a gentle 90-minute integration:

  1. Ground into body – Feet on earth, breath as anchor
  2. Secure the perimeter – Psychological safety established
  3. Watch the breath – Pure observation, no control
  4. Expand awareness – Soft attention to room and group
  5. Renewed return – Gentle re-entry to full presence

Results: Parasympathetic activation (rest-and-digest state). Practical tools for home: box breathing, body scans, 5-4-3-2-1 grounding. You’ll leave knowing exactly how to self-regulate.

6:00–8:00 PM – Fire Circle Brotherhood

The heart of the day. No facilitators directing—just veterans around the fire. Share what moved through you. Witness brothers without judgment. Laughter, tears, silence, recognition. This is medicine words can’t touch.

Throughout the day: Healthy meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), pool/jacuzzi breaks, vendors and guest speakers with hands-on demos/samples.

This Day Changes Lives

Veterans leave with:

Physical release from years of stored tension
Nervous system reset you can replicate daily

What to bring: Comfortable clothes + layers, water bottle, bathing suit (pool), journal & pen, open heart.
